First, an update on the existing product line. We've been low on / out of stock for many of our products for awhile, but the factory just finished up production on everything except Genesis and SNES cables. That shipment is headed our way next week. Genesis and SNES cables are still a few weeks out from wrapping up, as we just sent over to them the artwork for the new boxes they'll be shipping in, similar to our PS2 and Wii cables.
At long last, we're on the final leg of the Dreamcast journey! It took nearly 8 weeks from design file submission, but we finally received a quote from the factory. As of early December, we submitted the purchase order for the first production run of cables. Current goals for timelines are Q1 2020 to receive and approve production samples, and Q2 2020 for completion of the first batch. In the meantime, we are wrapping up design and documentation of the production test fixture for use in the factory. This is being done in parallel with the tooling and sample production, so we're not holding anything up as we work to complete it.
We'll be gradually shifting resources over to HDMI development as we move into the new year. We're hoping to demo something very cool at a convention in 2020. More info on that when we can faithfully commit to something.
